The new year is just around the corner, and as I sit and type this late at night thinking about what I may want to do in 2025, I’ve come up with a few projects that I’d like to work on. Here are a few of them:
gitle
is a smaller project that clones and downloads a GitHub Repository, then publishes it to your Maven Local. It aims to completely
eliminate the need for hosting repositories with your own resources if you can’t afford it or use Maven Central.
benchmarks
is a project that compares the performance of different programming languages. I’d like to expand this project to include as many languages and benchmarks as possible to see how Kotlin, Java, C, C++, and other languages I use compare to each other, along with seeing if I find an interest in other languages.
Kotlin is still my favorite programming language. Though I’ve started to realize how slow it actually is, especially with my project benchmarks
, which compares the performance of Kotlin to other languages. I’d like to work on more C/C++ projects to see if I can get a better understanding of how to write faster code, along with maybe transitioning to other native languages like Go.
This was relatively short, since I usually will come up with 2025 rpojects towards the end of the second semester. I’m excited to see what I can accomplish in 2025, and I hope you are too. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding my projects.
